Howard County Autism Society
The Howard County Autism Society meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at the Autism Resource Center, 10280 Old Columbia Road, Suite 215, Columbia. The support group meetings are ideal for meeting other parents and staying informed on the latest happenings in the local autism community. Each month features a guest speaker.
Baltimore Autism Society
The Baltimore Autism Society meets the first Thursday of each month. The group meets in the 3rd floor boardroom of Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital, 1708 W. Rogers Avenue, 21209 at 7:00 p.m. Guest speakers and round-table discussions are provided to help support families.

This website provides a wealth of information for families including an online message board. Parents can find information on teaching methods and books. Events and workshops are also listed for families including Center for Autism and Related Disorder’s 12th Annual Autism Conference in Timonium this October 25-26, 2012.
The Parents' Place of Maryland
The Parents' Place of Maryland is a non-profit family-centered organization. The purpose is to support the lives of persons with disabilities. The website provides referrals to other individuals or organizations. The Parents’ Place also conducts parent education courses and workshops. They also keep an up-to-date list of support groups in Maryland.
Autism/Aspergers Virtual Support Group
This is one of multiple yahoo groups targeted for families of children with autism. Parents can share stories, therapies, treatments, and advice. This particular group provides support to parents whose children have moderate to high functioning autism or Aspergers syndrome.
Mom’s Night Out
Moms Night Out is a group that meets for dinner the first Tuesday of each month at a local restaurant. The purpose of this group is to offer support and networking opportunities for parents of children with special needs in Howard County. For more information, email [email protected]
